Taming the Old-Fashioned Mature Man • Chapter 5
Chapter 3
Ethan Zhou became my temporary guardian and made three rules for me to follow.
- Do not enter each other's rooms without permission.
- (Specifically for me) Curfew is 10 PM—must be home on time and not wander around outside.
- Must report if you start dating—no staying overnight outside.
Did I really just find myself another dad in City A?
When you're under someone else's roof, you have to bow your head. After all, I was the one short on money right now, and he was covering all the rent and utilities. What more could I ask for?
I pouted, but still picked up a pen and signed my name on that "contract."
Since I was relying on his generosity, I felt a little guilty. I tentatively asked, "Is there anything I need to do in return?"
Ethan Zhou had already put on a pair of thick black-rimmed glasses. Occasionally, he'd feel like wearing contact lenses, but most of the time, he looked dull and old-fashioned—as if he was determined to hide his stunning good looks under layers of cover.
Hearing my question, he suddenly looked up at me. "Can you cook?"
I shook my head honestly. "No."
"Then why are you asking?" He replied in a cold, indifferent tone, pouring a bucket of cold water over me from head to toe.
I, Olivia Lin, wouldn't let anyone look down on me!
I retorted firmly, patting my chest. "I can't cook yet, but I can learn! I'm a fast learner, so don't worry—I'll take care of all your three meals from now on."
He slowly gave me a thumbs up and said perfunctorily, "Good luck!"
