Today was my wedding day with Ethan Brown.

I’d invited everyone—including Ryan Smith.

Whether he wished me well or not didn’t matter.

My feelings for him had faded completely, at some point.

I just wanted him to see: without him, I was still happy.

I also wanted everyone to see: I’d finally met a man who only had eyes for me.

I walked slowly forward. In the distance, stood the man I loved.

I’d imagined my wedding countless times—only to have all those dreams shattered overnight.

But I never would’ve guessed: the man standing there would still be the one I wanted to spend my whole life with.

One step, two steps, three steps.

Finally, I reached him.

His eyes were only on me—and mine only on him.

He gently wiped away the tears from the corner of my eye, then leaned down to whisper in my ear:

“I love you, Iris White—since a long time ago......”
