Chapter 15

My Husband Let the Scheming Other Woman Move Into Our Home   ā€¢   Chapter 17

Chapter 15

After I hung up, Noah looked at me with a knowing expression. "Xiaoxue, I think you should meet Luna’s son. You might be surprised."

"What do you know?" I asked. Noah never spoke without reason—he must have found something out.

"Nothing much," he said casually. "Just heard Luna’s son call Ethan ā€˜Daddy’ once."

"What did you say?"

"How are your asset arrangements going?" Noah changed the subject, handing me a paternity test. Sure enough—Luna’s son was Ethan’s. That alone was enough to make him leave with nothing.

I had my lawyer send divorce papers to Ethan. I also sold the house we’d lived in at a low price. If Ethan wanted to play dirty, I’d beat him at his own game. The house sold quickly—to a friend of Noah’s.

Ethan received the divorce papers and was kicked out of the house with Luna the same day. Furious, he called me—but I refused to answer.

"Are you sure about this?" Noah asked.

"Yes."

"After the divorce, there’s no going back."

"I know. From now on, you go your way, and I’ll go mine."

Seeing how unconcerned I was, Ethan’s face twisted with anger. "Sophia Carter, I’m giving you one last chance to change your mind."

"All these little fights were fine before, but now you’re using divorce to threaten me?" He still thought I was just throwing a tantrum.

But my heart was already dead—buried along with the college-aged Ethan Wilson I’d loved. I’d already signed my name on the papers. I held out the document for him to sign.
