Chapter 5

Living Together Again with My Ex-Husband   â€˘   Chapter 7

Chapter 5

Sophia Miller didn’t believe me at first, but when she saw how determined I was, her little face lit up with excitement.

“Lucy White, did you take the wrong medicine or something?”

“Sophia, I’m serious.”

I widened my eyes, squeezed out a tear, and did my best to make Sophia Miller believe me.

She couldn’t possibly understand how I felt right now.

I had not a single cent in my bag, yet a whole company was in the hands of some random man. If I didn’t get that company back, how could I face my grandfather’s spirit in heaven?!

Perhaps fooled by my brilliant acting, Sophia Miller agreed to take me to the company that should have been mine.

As soon as we walked into the company, we headed straight for the meeting room, ready to storm in and give that scumbag who’d stolen my company a piece of my mind—but we were stopped.

“Mr. Ye has given orders—you’re not allowed in!”

The secretary’s beautiful eyes were filled with disdain and sarcasm as she reached out to block me.

I raised my hand and slapped her across the face.

“Who do you think you are, daring to stop me!”

Sophia Miller’s mouth dropped open in an “O” shape, then she enthusiastically clapped her hands in approval.

The meeting room door swung open quickly, and Ethan Green walked out with a dark expression.

I looked him up and down, feeling a faint sense of familiarity.

But,

He wasn’t as tall as Luke Brown, not as good-looking as Luke Brown, not as slim-waisted as Luke Brown, not as long-legged as Luke Brown—even his butt…

Damn it, I really had been blind.

“Lucy White, what are you here to cause trouble for this time?”

I rolled up my sleeves and pointed at the poor, innocent-looking secretary. “Are you upset because I hit her?”

“She’s just my secretary.”

“Well, she isn’t anymore. Fire her!”

At that, the secretary immediately started acting coquettishly. “Mr. Ye…”

I stared coldly at Ethan Green. “Do you think I don’t even have the right to fire a secretary?”

Ethan Green’s face was as dark as thunder, looking like he’d just eaten a hundred flies. But in the end, he said nothing.

I let out a secret sigh of relief. It seemed my guess had been right.

No matter how stupid I’d been to let a random man take over the company, I wouldn’t have really transferred all the shares to him. I still had the right to speak in this company.

I pushed Ethan Green aside and led Sophia Miller into the meeting room.

Facing the crowd of people in the meeting room, we just stared at each other in silence.

These people seemed to be really unhappy with me?

I whispered to Sophia Miller, “Who are all these people?”

Sophia Miller rolled her eyes. “How would I know?”
