Chapter 5

After My Death, My Ex-Husband Begged for My Forgiveness   â€˘   Chapter 7

Chapter 5

I raised an eyebrow and looked at William. To my surprise, he looked flustered and subtly pulled his arm out of Sophia's grasp.

"I didn't know she was coming," he said.

The smile on Sophia White's face froze: "Weicheng Ge, are you not happy that I'm here?"

Sophia pouted, her eyes welling up with tears as she looked at William.

How brazen did a home-wrecker have to be to act like this?

I wanted to clap for this "true love" of theirs. Instead, I pulled out a small megaphone and connected it to my phone.

In fact, I had been waiting for this moment for a long time.

A while back, I had seen online that a woman had hired people to hold up banners outside her husband's mistress's house, denouncing the mistress for "taking a married man as her concubine." I had admired her courage endlessly.

Now, I could finally do whatever I wanted without holding back.

Of course, I didn't have any banners, but I had a megaphone.

I had grabbed it on a whim before I left the house.

I hadn't known Sophia White would be here, but for some reason, I had taken it with me anyway.

William had lived with me for so many years—when he saw me take out that megaphone, he knew exactly what I was going to do.

He quickly pushed Sophia White away, grabbed the megaphone out of my hand, and yelled: "Annie Brown, do you really have to be this ruthless?"

I looked at the megaphone in his hand with disappointment.

What a shame. I had been so close.

"William Green, who's the one being ruthless here?" I asked.

I tilted my chin slightly, gesturing toward Sophia White, and told William to deal with her himself.

William glanced at Sophia White, who was already sobbing, and said coldly: "I didn't ask her to come. I'll make her leave."

I took a step back, giving him enough space to handle the situation.

William went to talk to Sophia White. It was clear that their conversation wasn't going well.

Sophia White looked over at me unwillingly, but could only hang her head and cry in grievance.

I thought to myself: This man really was heartless.

She was the woman he had even mumbled the name of in his sleep, and now he was kicking her out without a second thought.
