Living Together Again with My Ex-Husband • Chapter 21
Chapter 17
After introductions, I found out that Tyler King and Ethan Green had actually been high school classmates. Later, Tyler King had gone abroad, and they hadn’t seen each other in years.
Their overenthusiasm made me feel a little uncomfortable. I didn’t have paranoia, but the whole situation felt weird.
To my surprise, Ethan Green didn’t mention our past relationship at all. He even encouraged Tyler King to cooperate more closely with our company.
Like Luke Brown, Tyler King was an investor—though he wasn’t as famous as Luke Brown.
Most of his business was in foreign financial districts. He’d only launched two projects since returning to China, but they’d been quite successful, so he’d made a name for himself in small circles.
When Tyler King went to the bathroom, Ethan Green sat down next to me.
I instinctively tried to move away, but he spoke calmly. “I’m getting married soon, so I won’t do anything to you.”
“Getting married? To who?”
I thought of that chubby woman and couldn’t quite wrap my head around it.
“Luke Brown pushed me into a corner—I had no way to survive. She might not be good-looking, and she’s fat, but her family owns a century-old enterprise. Luke Brown can’t touch them—at least not yet.”
I didn’t know whether to comfort him or congratulate him. I opened my mouth, but in the end decided that silence was better.
“Lucy White, Tyler King is your chance. You need to grab it.”
“What do you mean?”
“I saw you kiss Luke Brown. Don’t tell me you actually like him?”
My face turned red, and I immediately denied it.
“Of course not! I was drunk—I kissed the wrong person.”
Ethan Green suddenly leaned in. “Kissed the wrong person? So you were trying to kiss me?”
