Chapter 6
After My Death, My Ex-Husband Begged for My Forgiveness • Chapter 8
Chapter 6
In the end, Sophia White didn't leave. She followed behind us, watching as William and I rode every high-altitude ride in the park.
She must have been madly in love with William Green.
After each ride, she would rush over to hand William a bottle of water and snap at me: "Sister Annie Brown, don't you know that Weicheng Ge is afraid of heights?"
"Oh, so you even know he's afraid of heights? Then you must also know that he's a married man, right?" I crossed my arms over my chest and didn't even bother to look at her.
Sophia White's face turned pale, and she glared at me hatefully.
She still had to 顾忌 William's feelings, but I didn't.
That's the freedom of having no love left in your heart.
Sophia White fell silent.
I had gotten my megaphone back, and I shook my phone at her with a mocking smile.
I turned to look at William.
His face was pale, and he didn't seem to care at all about the argument between Sophia and me.
Does it hurt?
Good.
I turned my face away and stopped looking at them.
After William had recovered a little, he stood up and looked at Sophia White: "Didn't I tell you to leave?"
"I..." Sophia stood in front of him, looking wronged. "I just want to stay with you."
I couldn't help but laugh.
First of all, William had told her to leave.
Second, William and I were still legally husband and wife. Who did she think she was, standing there so brazenly like she belonged?
"William Green, isn't it inappropriate to bring your mistress to our date?" I said. "Sophia White, if you're going to be a home-wrecker, you should at least have the decency to act like one. Going too far is never a good look."
I held up the megaphone and spoke, ignoring the pain in my throat.
I had originally planned to spend the final chapter of our marriage in silence.
But Sophia White had pushed me too far.
The words coming out of the megaphone immediately attracted the attention of everyone around us.
Everyone turned to look at us.
Sophia White's face turned ugly, and she couldn't help but say: "That's not what's happening between us..."
I held up the megaphone again, this time pointing it at her: "Oh? Then what is it? You're not his mistress? Wasn't it you who called my husband in the middle of the night on a rainy day, asking him to come comfort you? Wasn't it you who acted all weak and asked my husband to make you porridge when you had a cold?"
"Sophia White, I know that some people have no shame and think they can get away with anything. But we're both women—why do you have to make things harder for another woman? If you want this man, I'll give him to you. But why do you have to ruin our last date together?"
Sophia White turned pale and looked at William: "Weicheng Ge, I didn't..."
"That's enough!" William snatched the megaphone from me.
I shrugged slowly and whispered to him: "William Green, you really disgust me."
After all, my goal today was to torment William Green. And seeing him look so unhappy made me feel happy.
"That's all I need you to do today. You can take your mistress and get out of my sight."
"Tomorrow at nine o'clock. Meet me at the civil affairs bureau."
