Chapter 23
Living Together Again with My Ex-Husband • Chapter 27
Chapter 23
“My name is Lucy White—I’m a freshman in the Finance Department. Who are you?”
Under the bright sun, the girl tilted her head and stared at the boy, her beautiful eyes shining like stars in the sky.
“Daniel Green!”
The boy’s voice was clear, and there was a faint smile hidden in his eyes.
The camera pulls back. This beautiful first meeting destined their paths to cross again and again.
But the ending was far from happy.
Lucy White met Daniel Green in college. Under the boy’s passionate pursuit, she gradually fell for him, giving him her whole heart.
They got together, and she thought she’d found the perfect love, thought she was the happiest person alive.
But she didn’t know that this boy, whose eyes always held a smile, was only playing with her.
Daniel Green was a total player, mastering the art of managing his time perfectly.
Once he’d gotten Lucy White, he quickly grew tired of her.
And when he grew tired, he didn’t break up with her directly. Instead, he used the most disgusting method—he gaslighted her.
Lucy White didn’t know that Luke Brown, that troublemaker, had been trying every way to stop her, only to be hurt by her over and over again.
When all the lies and deceit were laid bare before her eyes, when Daniel Green didn’t even bother to lie to her anymore, the girl, who’d been trapped in her “love,” couldn’t take it. She resorted to all sorts of crazy and desperate methods—harming herself, even trying to commit suicide.
She swallowed a large number of psychiatric pills and developed severe depression, with a frantic urge to kill herself. Until one day, a boy who looked just like Daniel Green walked up to her and held out his hand.
“Hello, my name is Ethan Green. I’m here to apply for the position of Project Director.”
——
The memories suddenly cut off. I heard a soft “ding” sound.
When I woke up again, Chloe Taylor and Benjamin Taylor were gone. Sitting in front of me was Sophia Miller.
I could barely tell the difference between reality and dreams. I stared blankly at her, then lifted my wrist.
“Luke Brown pulled a lot of strings. You can’t see those scars anymore.”
I froze, and tears poured out of my eyes uncontrollably.
“Sophia Miller, do you know Tyler King?”
