Chapter 12
My Husband Let the Scheming Other Woman Move Into Our Home • Chapter 14
Chapter 12
The Ethan now was unrecognizable. After our argument, he must have realized he’d gone too far—because he started hovering around me again, trying to win me over. I ignored him completely. The more he tried, the more repulsed I felt.
Thankfully, his attempts didn’t last long. Soon, he turned his attention back to Luna.
Luna was still living with us. Every night when I got home, I’d find Ethan sitting with her, watching TV or chatting.
"A good wife should always put her husband first," Luna would say, her voice laced with sarcasm. "Throwing tantrums all the time—no one can stand that forever." Her adoration for Ethan was obvious, and he ate it up.
Had she forgotten her place?
"You’re right," I replied. "Which is why a woman shouldn’t run to another man’s house after being hit by her husband. Air your dirty laundry too much, and people will start to wonder why you got hit in the first place."
Since Luna had moved in, I’d given the housekeeper time off.
"Sister Xiaoxue, I’m not good with words. If I upset you, I’m sorry—I didn’t mean to." Luna looked at me with tears in her eyes, ready to cry at any moment.
"Sophia Carter, what’s your problem?" Ethan snapped.
I glanced at him. "No problem." I turned and went upstairs.
