Chapter 15
Living Together Again with My Ex-Husband • Chapter 19
Chapter 15
The next day, I woke up with a splitting headache from the hangover. I rubbed my head and called out Sophia Miller’s name. But when I turned my head, I saw Luke Brown’s face.
The thought of “drunken mistake” was way too clichéd—especially with someone as awkward as my ex-husband.
I practically fled back to my own house, then pulled out my phone and chewed Sophia Miller out.
But to my surprise, Sophia Miller was even angrier than me. That’s when I found out what stupid things I’d done after getting drunk.
I’d actually kissed Luke Brown in front of everyone—and when Sophia Miller had tried to pull me away to save me, I’d pushed her hand away while sitting on Luke Brown’s lap.
I covered my face, thinking about asking for a long vacation. But to take a vacation, I’d have to tell Luke Brown—and that was just too embarrassing.
Just as I was hitting my head against the sofa, the door opened. Luke Brown walked in casually, carrying breakfast.
“You… you have a key to my house?”
“I set the password.”
Luke Brown answered matter-of-factly. What was more, he was so calm about it that it felt like I was the only one overreacting.
“I’m telling you, last night was just an accident. Don’t get the wrong idea. I… I’ll explain it to your girlfriend.”
I said what I thought was the most sensible and rational solution. But Luke Brown looked at me with a very strange expression.
His gaze made me lose my temper. I kicked him in the calf.
“What are you looking at? Keep staring and I’ll gouge your eyes out.”
Luke Brown’s expression turned extremely disgusted. “Lucy White, you don’t really think I’d be interested in a woman who got drunk, acted crazy, and threw up all over the place, do you?”
