Chapter 11
Living Together Again with My Ex-Husband • Chapter 13
Chapter 11
When I saw Ethan Green again, he was a completely different person from before.
I didn’t trust him, so I didn’t leave the villa area. Instead, I found a pavilion near the security office to meet him.
He seemed to sense my wariness, and his smile in the night looked a little creepy.
“You know Luke Brown lives here too, right?”
Compared to that, I was more curious about how he’d gotten out of jail.
Ethan Green stared at me, his eyes filled with an emotion I couldn’t quite understand.
“Luke Brown has gone to great lengths for you, Lucy White. Do you still have control of your company?”
My heart skipped a beat. Ethan Green sneered. “Both you and I have been tricked by him.”
“Ethan Green, you’re the one who lied. Don’t drag other people into this.”
Ethan Green stepped closer, reeking of cigarette smoke.
I took a step back instinctively, and his smile grew even colder.
“Other people? Luke Brown is not just anyone—he’s your ex-husband. He’s a lunatic. He won’t let anyone touch you.”
“Do you remember those big bosses you went to for sponsorship before? You have no idea how badly Luke Brown messed them up one by one.”
“Anyone who ever made things hard for you, anyone who tried to take advantage of you—none of them ended up without begging for mercy in the end.”
“Lucy White, do you know why I never touched you?”
“Because Luke Brown forbade it!”
“Do you think the reason I spread all those rumors about having affairs in the company, but never even kissed you, was by accident?”
“The company is full of Luke Brown’s eyes—including your so-called best friend. Every move you make is under his surveillance.”
A chill ran down my spine. I didn’t know if Ethan Green had been driven crazy by losing everything, or if this was actually the truth.
Luke Brown was surveillance me?
No, that couldn’t be…
I was so shaken that I could barely stand. Ethan Green suddenly reached out to help me, but before his hand could touch me, someone punched him hard.
I watched as the elegant and refined Luke Brown broke Ethan Green’s nose with a single punch.
