Chapter 16
Living Together Again with My Ex-Husband • Chapter 20
Chapter 16
I had amnesia, but I was now certain why I’d chosen Ethan Green over Luke Brown.
Luke Brown was toxic—extremely toxic.
I angrily ate up all the breakfast, and firmly stated that I wouldn’t help him explain things to his girlfriend.
“Do you care that much about my girlfriend?”
Luke Brown raised an eyebrow at me. That look of his—like he was both troubled and calm—made me grind my teeth in anger.
I decided to show him with my actions that I didn’t care at all.
So I accepted Sophia Miller’s invitation to go on a blind date, and openly asked Luke Brown for leave.
“I’m going on a blind date—to take care of my life’s major issues.”
Luke Brown was dealing with documents. His eyes, behind his glasses, drifted lightly over to me.
For no reason, my heart started racing. I forced myself to glare back at him, then turned around and walked away in a huff before he could reply.
——
I sipped my milk tea and looked at the two men sitting across from me. I couldn’t help but compare them to Luke Brown in my mind—and found that they were completely outclassed.
Sophia Miller was chatting happily with one of them. In the end, she even abandoned me and went off with him to “move on to the next activity.”
Was dating really this fast-paced now?
“Ms. Lu, how about we go play a round of golf? It’ll help stretch our muscles and clear our minds.”
The other man was named Tyler King.
He invited me, but I didn’t really want to go.
But then I remembered what I’d said to Luke Brown before coming here, so I decided to give this man a chance.
Luke Brown was my ex-husband, after all—and now he even had a new girlfriend. Why was I still thinking about him?
It didn’t matter how good-looking he was—he was just a piece of swan meat I couldn’t get my hands on.
I just never expected…
That I would run into Ethan Green at the golf course.
And it seemed like he and Tyler King knew each other well.
