Chapter 14

My Husband Let the Scheming Other Woman Move Into Our Home   â€˘   Chapter 16

Chapter 14

"Noah Harris, come pick me up." It was the first time I’d called Noah in front of Ethan. He stared at me in shock, then his face darkened.

"Sophia Carter, if you walk out that door, don’t you dare come back!" He slammed the door and left.

Under Ethan’s gaze, Noah loaded my luggage into the car, opened the door for me, and gently shielded my head to keep me from hitting the frame. As the car pulled away, Noah blew a mocking whistle at Ethan and flipped him off—then drove away with me.

"I got back at him for you. I bet he’s fuming." Noah looked proud. Just thinking about Ethan’s face made me feel better.

I sat in the back seat, watching the familiar scenery blur as we drove away from the home I’d once loved. Noah offered to let me stay with him, but I declined.

"I want to go back to the old house."

In my final days, I wanted to be where I’d lived with my parents. There weren’t many people left in this world worth missing.

Noah carried my suitcase upstairs and helped me unpack. Just then, my phone rang. I was surprised to see the caller ID.

"Hello, George Martinez."

"Sophia, the kid Ethan sent over is a handful..." Principal Zhou ranted about all the trouble Luna’s son had been causing at school—but what made me angry was that Ethan had secretly enrolled him in the kindergarten, lying to George Martinez and using my name.

"In short, you need to tell his parents to come pick him up. Our teachers can’t handle this anymore."

"George Martinez, that boy is Ethan Wilson’s mistress’s child. Do whatever you think is right—I had no idea about any of this."

George fell silent for a moment, then sighed. "Sophia, are you okay?"

"I’m fine, George Martinez."
